Setting Up A 50 Gallon Home Brewery In Portugal

I may be moving to Portugal soon and am interested in your story. Are there any regulations one has to adhere to for own consumption? Are there regs for selling? if so where can I get copy? What chemicals do you use to clean your equipment?

Anheuser-Busch InBev Acquires Northern Brewer & Midwest Supplies

I don't see any issue here. Inbev wants to win back business. Doubt they are trying to kill homebrew. Seems like a profitable market research move. What better way to know what people are making/drinking than to study what they buy. What better way than to have a live connection to the shopping...

    Good online supply place?

Add www.heartshomebrew.com to the list. They have 33 lb. containers of malt extract which are dirt cheap if you have a place to store them. I've used them a few times and have been completely satisfied.

    the smell of fermentation

Fermenting beer has very little smell, at least as far as disturbing the neighbors. I keep my fermenter in a small closet and never notice the smell when the door is closed. Boiling the brew is a different story. It's not a strong smell, but it is noticable. But then boiling only lasts for...
