Has anyone heard of using corn syurp to make corn wine. I've got a few recipes for making corn wine. But there's a process called Spouting the Corn, its to release the starch from the corn so it can be converted into alcohol.

In the first 3 to 5 days of fermentation most recipes call for you to cover the wine, stir everyday, and take a reading with the hydrometer. My question is... do I stir first than use the hydrometer. Or use the hydrometer first than stir. I keep getting 2 different readings. The one before...
I made a 1 gal batch of jelly/jam the 15 of this month. Fallowed the recipe to a T. SG was 1.100. Three days later it was 1.040. Put it under airlock and left it alone. Checked on it everyday. Now its not doing anything. The 3 piece airlock system isn't bubbling anymore.
Does that mean it done...
I've got a few cans of blueberry pie filling. Was wondering if they could be used to make blueberry wine.

Blueberries, water, high fructose corn syrup, food starch-modifed, citric acid.
Yeast. Can it be reused or not. I seen somewhere that the Egyptions used the yeast from the wine they made to make bread. Can this be done. If so, the yeast that I syphon my wine from. Can it be used to make more wine. ( adding yeast nutrients and energizer)
Found a recipe for a tea wine. It said you could use any tea. So I used Earl Gray.
I think its one of the fullest flavored teas out there. Or I like it. The starting SG was 1.050. It said to start at 1.040. What's that going to do to the wine?
I've got a few bottles that had wine in them from the store. They are screw on tops. Not cork.
The question I have is.... can I reuse these bottles with the the screw on lids or can I get corks that will fit in them?
