    Kalamazoo area co2 REFILL??

I get propane from UHaul on Portage rd. I have the bigger 30lb rv tanks, so can't exchange. I guess Costco has cheap exchanges but that isn't an option for me. UHaul is around 25 bucks to refill my tank size.

    Kalamazoo area co2 REFILL??

Just did some calling around. Not sure the price, but Approved Fire Protection on the corner of Mosel and N. Burdick does refills. My tank just came today and I wasn't about to let anyone take it either lol. I'll pay a bit more if that's what it is. It's so close to me anyway.

How to add permanent volume markings to a kettle (illustrated)

PS. I found reusable, stick-on numbers at Hobby Lobby in the glass etching area. They are pretty durable and withstood lots of re-positioning. They even washed up good afterward. Which, means I can glass etch the carboys to match next....

How to add permanent volume markings to a kettle (illustrated)

OK. So here she is. I have to say I'm quite happy. Big up to the op for the easy tutorial. I followed the original directions to a T and had no issues. I used only one battery and did find the process slowed as I got towards the last 10 minutes of etching or so. As others have said, lay-out...

How to add permanent volume markings to a kettle (illustrated)

In this case I just measured and found them all to be the same. So I halved the distance and went from there. I plan to measure my boil kettle 1 gallon at a time using the volume lines in my 10 gal Igloo mash tun. I filled it today for that reason and used the HLT above to check accuracy. I...

How to add permanent volume markings to a kettle (illustrated)

Been following this thread for some time, and have actually read the whole thing believe it or not. Finally got around to doing a test of this last night on my HLT. It had stamped gallon markers but I figured doing the half gallon graduations would be good practice for when I do the boil kettle...

How much bine to leave/ when to cut back?

Is harvesting a hassle that way? I envisioned cutting the twine from the top and pulling most of the plant down in a chunk. To harvest this way, I'd be leaving the twine system in tact.

How much bine to leave/ when to cut back?

When you guys harvest your hops, how much bine do you leave on the plant? I've read that you should leave the bottom 2'-3'. Is there a point at which you cut that back even further before winter (Michigan hop growing season)? Do you let that just fall to the ground to die off? What's the...

Glass or Plastic: Which Big Mouth Bubbler is for you?

Is there any chance these don't old smells like a bucket? I've only tried plastic a few times and hated every bit of it. killing yeast before fruit additions.

Doing a strawberry blonde for summer. Going to add the berries to secondary. Debating rather I should kill off the yeast first or let them ferment the fruit too. Pros and cons of either?
