    Vacuum Sealer question

I see lots of generic vacuum seal rolls for sale for much cheaper than the name brand. Anybody had any good or bad experiences with any vendors?

    Vacuum Sealer question

Thank you for all the input, guys! I will definitely look into these bags. I can imagine all that cutting is not fun.

    Vacuum Sealer question

I'm looking into getting one for sealing my bulk hops order, but want to find one that will allow sealing of smaller cut bags instead of the default length of 8" or 11" for the seal. Do most vacuum sealers do this? Ideally I want to cut and seal 5" x 5" bags of 1oz or 2oz of hops. Anyone...

    Stupidly effective keezer dessicant hack

Will be giving this a try as soon as my eva-dry arrives. Plus it will help move air around, keeping the temp in my keezer more evenly distributed since I don't have a fan in there yet.

    First sour suggestions

Sounds good enough to me! Thanks.

    First sour suggestions

Pardon my butting in, but I'm just curious what style this is considered? I'm thinking of doing something exactly like this. I have seen similar grain bills, but don't know what style this best fits. Is it just called a Sour?

Reuse vanilla beans and cacao nibs

Just about to keg a stout that was sitting on vanilla beans and cacao nibs for about a week. Prior to adding them, they were soaking in Crown Royal Black for about a week. What I'd like to do is take advantage of the yeast and brew an IRS this weekend, and since the vanilla beans and cacao...

    Pliny the Younger Clone

My Conan pooped out at 1.016, while the WLP001 got down to 1.012. I think the starter for the Conan may have been a bit small, and at one point I accidentally let fermentation get down to 58F. The Conan one still tastes great, albeit a little sweeter and less hop bitter tasting. How are the...

    Pliny the Younger Clone

I'll be doing this tomorrow! Splitting 7 gallons in half and going to do one half with Conan and the other half with WLP001.

FT: 3 Pliny, Parabola ISO: Heady Topper

I was able to get a couple more Pliny, so in total I have three for trade. The two I just got were bottled four days ago. The third is about two weeks old. Also have a Firestone Walker Parabola, and a Great Divide 19th Anniversary for trade. Looking for some Heady. If you have a plethora of...

FT: Alpine Nelson & Pure Hoppiness

Dave1096, I would have to agree with you. Since first trying it about five or so years ago, it still is my favorite beer today. But Pliny certainly is worth finding as well. I did end up sending him a Pliny in the trade too, so he will be able to be his own judge. Cheers.

Hi, from San Diego now living in Murrieta

Hi everyone, Been brewing for a little over three years and have used this website for almost every question I have ever had. Finally decided to create an account and maybe chime in every once in a while, along with doing a few beer trades from time to time. Still work in the Miramar area...

FT: Parabola and Pliny ISO: Heady Topper

No luck on more Pliny til Friday, "if" they even get some more in. So, I still have one Pliny and one Parabola up for trade for some Heady if anyone is interested.

FT: Parabola and Pliny ISO: Heady Topper

I only have one Pliny right now. I can try to acquire more, but this store is tight with their inventory of Pliny. Will be around that area again today again so I'll give it another shot. Not interested in the Parabola?

FT: Parabola and Pliny ISO: Heady Topper

Stopped by my local place and was able to find Parabola and a Pliny. Thar Pliny be fresh too. If you have Heady, lets talk. I also bought some Parabola for myself and just drank it. It was sofa king good. Maybe one of my favorite beers. Well worth it.

FT: Alpine Nelson & Pure Hoppiness

The probably had it and I wasn't looking. Their facebook page keeps an updated listing of what they have on tap for growlers and for bottles for the week and weekend.

I'd expect whatever is added to the trade is even on both sides.
