Mash tomorrow night boil next morning temp?

Due to limited time available Saturday I am considering mashing and sparging my next brew tomorrow night and boiling it Saturday morning. I have the ability to hold the wort temp at whatever is desired. My thinking is to keep the temp of the wort high enough to not have to worry about souring...

Help Me Decide What To Make

I end up with leftover because the places I get grains from are usually 1 pound minimum and increments of 1 pound.

    Tilt Hydrometer

No, followed the instructions on the site and it worked just as it should. It did take a little longer than the 2 minutes they mention to get the emails but that is likely because it is way down in the basement about as far from our router as you can get.

    Tilt Hydrometer

I just got a Tilt and have it up and running via pi zero w. I do not know how I lived without this thing! Even if it's not dead accurate on SG having temp and seeing activity is priceless - especially being able to take a look pretty much anywhere or anytime. Need to get a couple more of them...

    Blue Moon Clone

So, I am just getting back into brewing so forgive me for the noob questions. In regards to Wayne's recipe post #429: What volume of strike water should I use? Then I add 2 gals 200F water to raise mash to 168F, right? Sparge temp and final volume? I did read, search through the thread but no...

I need a Quick Disconnect for 1-1/4" CPVC

How "quick" of a disconnect do you need? What about just a union or if you need flow control a true union ball valve? About the same amount of time to disconnect as a tri-clamp. I use them in my aquarium plumbing and they have been very reliable. They seal with an o-ring. Lowes has pretty...

    30 amp breaker help

The way I understand the OP will be running 240v, right? That we put it at only 18.75 amps for the 4500 watt element with the 30A setup being fine. Just want to help make it clear. Maybe I missed something?

My 30A GFI breaker wouldn't reset, even w/ no load

It just seems like a clamp being too tight isn't the source of the issue. If you can swap the wiring out that easily I would. JMO.

My 30A GFI breaker wouldn't reset, even w/ no load

I must have missed something. Why did loosening the clamp solve the problem? The way I interpret the solution makes me think there is a short there for some reason?

    A Novice call for help...

    4. I bought the $28 shipped setup off ebay to dabble. It worked pretty well for heating mash and strike water actually but i already purchased an RTD from Auber to get better accuracy and Celsius in tenths. Most the ebay cheap PIDs will not do manual mode, are in Celsius only, and need a RTD...

    A Brewing Water Chemistry Primer

The main purpose of my RODI system is for my saltwater fish tanks and in that hobby the gray food grade Brute trash cans are mostly considered safe. I have been using a 50'ish gallon one to store my RODI water for 5+ years with no issues that I am aware of. TDS readings are always zero using a...
