I use a 240volt/30amp service with a GFCI breaker. I had blichmann pots so stuck with them and added water heater elements. Take a look at Kai's excellent site on how to get a lot of this done. I built my own controller, drilled all pots and the control box. It is an e-herms system.

I just received my lid a few days ago and saw it was a little too big as well. I ran a test this morning and it seals well on a G1 10 gallon Blichmann, although it doesn't rest on the flanges perfectly.
Since you posted, asking you to reconsider. I have the same mix breed. Very energetic, very loyal, also head strong. Training and consistency help. Can’t imagine the last 13 years without her. Best dog ever!

I had a problem leak that did not show when using soapy water (no bubbles). I used a small piece of hose and placed it at my ear and then checked each of the connection points. Make sure you're in a quiet room. Good luck!
