    Wyeast issue, cause for concern?

I just got done brewing an IPA, it's only my second batch and my first time using wyeast. Everything was all good until I went to top off my fermenter with water to get it to 5 gal. I use bottled spring water and should have bought 6 gal but only had 5, after boil evaporation I was more than...

    15 days, still bubbles

From what I have read I think I am ok but just wanted some re-assurance...I did my first brew about 15 days ago and have gotten normal fermentation since then based on my research, but am still getting a bubble about once every 40 seconds or so, temp is reading about 63/64 F. This seem ok?

Quick aeration question before my first brew

Ok, I'm using starsan, so from what i've read I wouldn't have to rinse that out after spraying it, just empty the excess and it wont effect the wort correct?

Quick aeration question before my first brew

Hey all I'm about to brew my first batch and had a question about aerating the wort. How long does an extract kit last?

Grains weren't crushed, but I may just replace those too to be safe, I want the brew to turn out halfway decent so I don't blame myself for ruining the batch when it was just expired ingredients...

How long does an extract kit last?

Hey guys, I bought a beginners setup from Midwest about a year ago and am finally about ready to start my first brew hopefully this week. I hadn't opened the extract kit (autumn amber ale) until a few days ago and noticed it said to refrigerate yeast on arrival and it has an expiration date of...

Kettle and burner to start with?

Some of these questions I won't know until I get going with it, but I am starting with extract kits and probably 5 gallon batches. I do feel like once I get going I will be doing this a while, I still have a lot of homework to do (got "how to brew" about a week ago and plan on reading that cover...

Kettle and burner to start with?

Cool, that is the burner I have been looking at too. Looks like you've made a lot of progress in a year! Hope to be in the same spot next year, thanks!

Kettle and burner to start with?

I have just about everything but a brew kettle and a burner to get me going. I've been scouring Homebrew Finds but can't seem to pull the trigger on anything. I'm looking at probably a stainless, here's a couple i'm thinking about recently...
