    Stuck Fermentation??

    Question time.. I think I might have a "stuck fermentation"... I'm making the attached recipe. I was in a primary for a week and was at 1.022. Secondary would be 'done' tomorrow, but I'm still only at 1.020 today. So, it really hasn't budged much in a week. Taste is good. but my FG is a bit...

    Repitching yeast from slurry

    I brewed an Irish red and a little over a week ago, I put it on secondary ferment and saved the "crud" from the bottom of the pail into a mason jar and put it in the fridge. Now, I'm looking to brew this weekend and want to wake up this yeast and get it ready. I think I might know the answers...

    Forgot to agitate

    I brewed an irish red last night... The recipe was a Norther Brewer recipe and it says to ferment first week (or two) at 66. Then another week at 72. So I have my bucket set at 66 right now. it's been a day and no airlock activity. THEN I remembered, while I aerated my wort, I did not stir...

    Can I convert this to a mini-Keg?

    any ideas on how to utilize this 3gal container with spigot (and pressurized.)... Wonder if you could put a CO2 value in the lid and use it as a mini keg for maybe a small batch? Anyone ever see one of these and any ideas?
