    air bleed before pump

Its an inline chugger pump. it sits about 10-12 inches lower than fitting on my kettle. the hose from the kettle to chugger pump is not extra long where it lays on the ground either. Just seeing if anybody else has made a fitting for that purpose. Otherwise i think ill just by a 1.5 tri clamp 3...

    air bleed before pump

I'm brewing with a Colorado Brewing system. I'm having issues where the pump will not pump because there is air trapped right before the pump. Does anybody know of an air bleed valve that I could put in front of the pump so I can bleed the air without taking the tri clamp loose and let the air...

Minnesota Brew jacket twin cities MN

I'd be interested in 1. Looks like a great product and I am in the need for help on fermentation temp control. I work in New Ulm so I'm right in the neighborhood.

    Colorado brewing systems

.045" is what I have mine set at. I usually run my pump around 1/2 depending on how everything is flowing. I have not used rice hulls yet but I think I will in the future so I can recirculate a little faster, it seems the better it circulates the closer the temp between the sensor and grain bed...

Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

He already emailed me back. It's covered under warranty so we'll see if the 2nd one holds up better than the 1st.

Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

It died altogether. I plugged it in this morning just to make sure and it's dead. Had to deuce over to my regular pump during cool down was not easy either. I had no shutoff between the pump and my kettle so I had very poor flow through the little pump. I am gonna email Tim and see what my...

Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

So that little brushless pump that they sent us is a total POS. I've used it for less than an hour and it's already fried. I was sending my wort through my chiller and all of a sudden it just stopped pumping.

This is the whirlpool fitting that goes in the whirlpool port on the bottom.

So do you add 3 degrees to your mash temp? I would think if you were off at the top you would probably be off at mash temp.

Mine should be 212. My grain bed temp and PID are about 3 degrees different so I think if I would bump it up 3 degrees I would be pretty close to mash temp.

Where do you find how to calibrate temp? My PID shows 209 at boiling and I need to add 3 degrees to it.

Doing an Oktoberfest Ale this weekend, did an Irish Red last weekend, everything went very good. I just needed to watch/adjust the pump output to make sure I didn't suck the bottom of the pot dry. Once I found the right amount to recirculate I didn't have to adjust again. I am still using my...

Your right. I may give it a try too. Maybe it's a new groundbreaking idea. We wouldn't want to be behind the times.

I have my mill set at a loose .45. This is the better of the 2 brews that I have made so for. As far as the pump, not sure if I'll even use it. I have a chugger that I have been using and it's worked as good as I need it to. Seems as though we did kinda get the shaft as far as quality? I...

PID set at 151. Top of mash is pretty close. Pump output is around 3/4 with good whirl pooling around top of mash. This is 29.4 pounds of grain. Started with 14.5 gallons of water. I am basically going to fly sparge once I lift the basket so I get 14 gallons of wort. This is a bells two hearted...

Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

I agree 100% with #3! I saw that somebody in this post had the pulley system on a track so that it would slide out for easy removal. I wish I would have seen that before I ordered mine.
