What I did for beer today

Took a gravity reading from a saison which has just settled down after 3 weeks in primary. First wyeast 3711 experience, love that yeast. Helped my self to a sampler, gravity measured at 1.004 from 1.069, nice and dry, tasted great. Can't wait to bottle it up and try it carbed up!

To me it has to be dark and heavy, a sipper that you have in front of a fire. Preferably accompanied by some kind of cured meat. Unk unk. ( I'm a few Ahead of beergolf :-)

    Stringy clumps in fermenter?

Thanks...I did use Irish moss, and have before but have not seen this before. Then again thus is a lighter than normal brew for me, so maybe I'm just able to see more than usual..

    Stringy clumps in fermenter?

Here are the pictures, can't tell if its yeast or something else. I don't see any thing other than small bubbles on the surface of the beer...smell of the beer is fine. Any opinions?

    Attempt at Wild yeast capture

Thought I'd try to capture some wild yeast using a dish of gelatinized wort. I've read that you want to capture using wild fruit directly, or at least outside in proximity of the fruit plants. No growing fruit in my garden now, but i do have a strawberry patch going dormant and some tomatoes...
