Why cant you get natural carbonation on a keg?

I don't do a secondary, after fermentation is done, I keg it, purge it with Co2 to get rid of the oxygen, then I chill it for a week, then force carb, first pint has some yeast and sediment, all others after are good.

Why cant you get natural carbonation on a keg?

All i was illustrating is that there are 166000 licensed establishments and 36000 serve real ale. Im not attempting to made big statement about it, just trying to help the OP

Why cant you get natural carbonation on a keg?

If you are planning on serving it like real ale (that is served in some pubs in Britain) then you need to remove the gas in post and put something that will let air in but keep bugs out and you will need a "Beer engine" to manually pull the beer. As already mentioned it will not last long...

    My first homebrew problem

The best method is to take hydrometer reads a few days apart, if they are the same then fermentation is done, i never trust airlock activity. I started with those Brooklyn brew shop kits a few years ago, i learned a lot using those, but the biggest thing i learned is, you can't rush beer! it...

That looks very cool, I like old style wood like that, I'm not definite on the red yet I want it to feel darker and more cosy, beams and a cream color ceiling are also in the plans I may do the walls in cream and dark wood panels

I am looking at paneling the lower half of the walls with a mottled paint effect above, my plan is to hide the kegerator under the stairs that are behind the bar, and have an oak effect panel with the taps coming through, this will be attached to the kegerator which will be on a frame on wheels...

I was thinking the same that the walls need a slightly darker color.

Could using starsan be causing over carbonation?

Has he been checking that fermentation is done before bottling?

Here's my solution, it's on hinges so I can get to the electrical panel when needed, all I have to do is put some trim at the top.

Thank you, it's so cosy when the fire is going, I'm sure if I put in the beams and the stained glass I think it will really start taking shape. I still am looking for a book case to mount on hinges to cover the electrical panel, then i will buy lots of old books to put in there.

I like the idea of a stained glass effect, maybe i can use some wood trim around the windows too?
