    Anyone take the IBD GCB?

    Jus got done with the exams.. Went quite wrll actually.. I think messed up the quality system questions and a few questions where theyd have numbers as answers.. Tip: Memorize all the numbers in the notes too. Anyway will return with a few more. Gotta get some sleep! Cheers!!!

    Yeah i agree with LexusChris .. Once the fermentation begins adding dme is not recommended . DME without boiling might introduce off flavours/infections in the beer. Keep a tab on the boil.     is attenuation 75% considered low or high?

    Attenuation also depends on the yeast properties and the conditions they are in. 75% attenuation is a fairly good number to hit.

    Oh yeah! Missed that one out.. So i added around 1.5 gms of rosemary considering its just a 5L batch. Don't want it to be too overpowering. Added the rosemary during whirlpool and rest for 15 min.

    Just tried my saison. Come out quite nice!! :) Got a nice spicy,floral,herbal tone to it! Ive added a bit of honey malt so got that sweetness too..Dried out pretty well. Super summer beer!! :mug: Will post the recipe soon..

    Thanks acidrain Ive brewed beer at 60 min for the bitterness and at knockout for the aroma. If i wanted to brew a beer with only adding hops at knockout ie at arnd 10 min?? Eg. Adding 4 gms of hops for certain ibu at 60 min or adding 10 gms at 10 min for the same amnt of ibu? How much of a...

    Wassup guys! Im relatively new to the forum thought someone could help me out with this...😊 What would be the result in dumping in bittering hops at 60 min for a certain IBU and dumping in the bittering hops at knockout ( 10 min ) for the same calculated IBU ?

    My DIY grain mill
