I could never find the time to bottle my IPA back in April 2019,,,,,,yes that is a long time ago. Well, things are getting back to normal, now my dilemma is bottling the beer or not? It looks fine, but........
Seems like everytime I need to make a yeast starter, one of the magnets comes out of it's little "pocket". So I keep using hot glue to re-glue the little sucker. PITA, to a point. So what do you use to keep the magnets from getting loose?
Went out to check gravity reading, touched the side of fermenter and it felt warm. Stuck in thermometer and it read 91F. Not sure if my Johnston Controller is messed up or not. Gravity reading is at 1.020 and ready for dry hopping. What should I do? Dry hop and bottle in a week? Will it ever...
Was planning on bottling tomorrow. so I turned up the temp from 35F to 68F. I opened up my fermenter chamber to help get the temp up faster. I looked at my blow off tube set I had going and low and behold I found that it was empty. Sometime during the cold crashing cycle, all the star-san...
Seems like my FG's are usually around 10 points higher than the recipe FG. Just checked my Russian River Row 2 Hill 56 Clone after 12 days @ 64F. It's at 1.020 when it should be @ 1.010. My OG was @ 1.060, when recipe called for 1.055. Should my fermentation temp be warmer? I bumped it up to...
I brewed up a Pliney the Elder via BIAB, well today was the day to dry hop. I used my carboy as the fermenter as my conical brew bucket was being used. I had to wait for the beer in the conical to be ready to bottle, so I could use that for dry hopping. I always bag my hops, whether in the boil...
I see it's it their latest mailer and being sold for 7.99 a can. I might have to get a can and try it.

It's been 2 weeks and the cap of foam is still floating on top. What should I do?
This is a Northern Brewers White House Honey Ale beer kit.
This is what part of the recipe reads.....
Active fermentation ends. Approximately 1–2 weeks
after brewing day, active fermentation will end...
Looking to get some for our female boxer, she likes to chew on clay pots and hard plastic, like the plastic in solar lights. I've done some searching and 40 bucks a months seems steep. Any recommendations?

Yup, wife brought me home a 36pak...It was a long hot today, doing many outside honey-do's. Gonna cook up some ribs and chill with a Silver Bullet. We all have these days..........
I have one but it's all steel and cast iron. The burner is slowly rusting away. The flame is half yellow/half blow, well sort of. My burner is outside all the time and that's why the weather is slowly deteriorating it. So I'm looking to upgrade. Any suggestions that won't break my piggy bank...
I bottled a batch of Porter today, and the temp in the bottling bucket was 38F. Am I gonna be ok? Long story short, I did not let the fermenter raise to room temp.
My brother sent me this for Xmas....anything that I need to know? ABV is a bit high for me, so what can I do to lower the ABV?
