    How to cool a barrel???

    Hi I've just barrelled my lager an i like it ice cold but my barrel won't fit in the fridge I've bought. Does anyone know of any cooling jackets etc?? Cheers.

    It's a tooheys lager kit fermented at around 22 degrees the instructions say it should finish fermentation between 4-7 days an be ready for bottling.

    Hi I've just done a lager it's been in the bucket 9 days and fermentation seems to have stopped the first reading was 1038 I've just taken another reading and it's 1026. Is this reading still to high to start bottling? Many thanx

    Hi i added sugar after barrelling it as per instruction not sure of alcohol content. Can i add more sugar?

    I barrelled my cider 2 wks ago an I'm waiting for it to clear now but i had a sneaky taste an it's very dry/harsh. Will it sweeten up any? On a plus note its stating to smell ok.

    Hi when i unscrew the cap slightly it releases the pressure an the tap stops dripping so i know the tap is ok. Cheers

    Hi I've got it in a plastic barrel it was flat when i barrelled it an it's been stored in the same place as it was fermented. Do i need to cool it now?

    Hi all This is my first batch of cider I've made. I've barrelled it an after a week of barrelling i noticed a drip on the tap which is fully closed so i released some of the pressure by unscrewing the cap a little an the drip stopped only to start again when the pressure built up.     Hi i used the yeast that came in the pack the cider is cloudy an the smell is kind of eggy not nice. There was froth on top but it's gone now. I didn't take a reading at the start. Cheers

    Hi this is my first time at making cider. I've used a cider making kit. It's been sat for 10 days an I've just tested it with a hydrometer an it's still reading 1.000 an smells abit. Does this mean ive done something wrong. Cheers mark.
