I am getting into using camlocks. I bought an F style camlock to screw into my stainless ball valve. Is Teflon tape needed when screwing the f cam into the ball valve? Can't find the info on bargain fittings.

So I was brewing and when I had 15 min left I put my wort chiller in the pot to sanitize. When I did the rubber washer in to hose adapter part fell into the boiling wort. I wasn't able to find it until the boil finished and all the wort was in a carboy. Should I toss the batch? I'm not worried...

I will be attending a group brew day and a local brewery is supplying everyone with premade 2row wort with a OG of 1.050. I was wondering how I can add specialty malts to this. I know steeping is an option but can you steep ~6lb of specialty malt? I want to turn this premade wort into a porter.
