    Thanks for the response. I think I will make the starter regardless and will be fermenting at room temp.

    Planning on brewing with this new yeast. Ferm temp tolerance up to 95F. Back of package says to open and pour into aerated wort. Would making a starter yield better results? Thanks. https://omegayeast.com/yeast/kveiks/vossa-nova

    Next brew, 75 degree fermentation

    For years I've brewed ales with US-05 at room temp in FL (75-80F). That is high for that strain, but all my beers have tasted acceptable.

    Accidentally dumped my stir bar down the drain

    Been there. I transferred the stir bar from the flask into the primary, forgot about it, and a week later while cleaning the primary down the bathtub drain. Oh well.
