    Braumeister 50L electrical question

I need some help with what to tell an electrician I need for the Braumeister 50L. I understand these no longer come with a plug attached so any guidance in that department also would be great. I have zero electrical skills, so any info would be greatly appreciated. Manual shows 230V~ 16Amp which...

    Dave's Carmel Apple Cider

Kegging - can I just keg the cider after fermentation and add the Caramel syrup and throw keg in kegerator or is adding the Camden tablets a must? I hope to keep this transfer simple. I understand this could potentially impact the overall sweetness, but seems like extra cost/work if minimal impact.

    Bakers Chocolate

Thank you for reply McGarnigle. That is the correct recipe. I actually found a recipe card for that beer and it is a bit different from the recipe on the site. I actually used 4 lbs graham crackers broken into small pieces and put into grain bags. PIA to manage in the boil as the bags were...

    Bakers Chocolate

Brewing a Graham Cracker Brown today and have a question regarding ingredients: Recipe calls for .03 Bakers Chocolate - is that .03 lbs? Seems super light for a 5 gallon batch. Also, Graham Crackers - should I just throw these into the boil (Extract version) or use a Grain sock to contain all...

    Cinnamon stick

Brewing tomorrow and have a recipe that calls for a cinnamon stick near the end of the boil. Once I get down to temp to pitch yeast, should I transfer cinnamon stick to primary during fermentation or trash it? I'm thinking the cinnamon flavor will be extracted at end of boil, so not sure I...

    Wlp500

I brewed a Belgian Ale 5 days ago and used WLP500 Trappist yeast. Day one had some airlock activity and by day 4 nothing. Stupid me didn't check it in between. Is this normal for this yeast? I pitched 2 vials in a 10 gallon batch. I was expecting a pretty active fermentation. Should I...

    Base of post leaking

JB Weld appears to have been the fix. No bubbling with gas applied. I'll continue to monitor but all seems well. Thank you to all who replied!

    Base of post leaking

Interesting note Relampago. JBWeld on and I'll test tonight. I'll keep that in mind in the event it's still bubbling. Thank you for the reply.

I have some jb weld - may give that a whirl.

    Base of post leaking

Dip tube and o-rings are perfect. It is actually the metal piece that is attached directly to the keg and cannot be removed. The post screws on to it. The leak is coming from the base of this male piece right next to the black rubber part of the keg. I was hoping some sort of food grade...

    Base of post leaking

I have a leak at the bottom of the post near the base. Confirmed with soap/water/bubbles. Is this even repairable or is the keg trash? Gonna be a little angry as I have beer to keg and no keg to hold said beer. I saw a couple folks suggest may be a crack in base and may have to be welded...
