    i have always split the difference between 2.75-3.25 by shooting for 3.0. hope that helps.

    i have made this recipe twice now and it is fantastic! 1st batch exactly as OP recipe; 2nd batch changed hops to EKG and yeast to WL 565. Both turned out great.     I would like to brew "Brewing Classic Style's" RIS Czar's Revenge. It has a grain bed of 23lbs. Can some one tell me if i can fit that much grain into a 10gallon cooler tun? At 1.25 qts/lb, that is 28.75 qts. thanks!

    NOt sure what you can find on HHI but some good breweries in SC: Westbrook, Palmetto, Coast, River Dog(close to HHI in Ridgeland)--prolly no need to go to GA, you should be able to get same selection in SC. hope this helps

    restarting a starter

    sorry to hijack, but.....assume the starter had been sitting in fridge for about 2-3 weeks, do you think it should be "re started" or just decanted and pitched? Again, sorry to hijack your thread OP.
