All grain recipe kit for Abbey Ale

Can anyone recommend an ingredient kit to purchase online for an Abbey Ale (Leffe or Ommegang clone) or a Grinbergen Blonde clone? I know I could research clones and buy the ingredients myself but I was just hoping for a recipe 'click and ship' solution.

    Hops suggestions for SMaSH

Going to brew an AG SMaSH using some 2 row American Pale Malt. Hop choices are Citra, Saphir, or Galaxy. Anyone have any recommendations. I'm leaning towards the Citra but I thought I would through it out there for some other ideas.

Would this be a terrible way to get 1 gallon of 70 degree wort?

So most people brewing a 1 gallon AG batch would heat up approximately 2.5 quarts to 3 quarts of strike water for 2 lbs of grain, add the grains, mash, sparge with water to get them to 1.5 gallons to 2 gallons, boil for an hour down to about a gallon, then cool to 70 degrees, pitch yeast...

Strike water volume for 5 gallons mash tun

When doing all grain and calculating water to add to 5 gallon mash tun, is it better to add more water for a thinner mash if your mash tun can accommodate? I have seen videos where people use 1.5qts/lb and I've seen recipes (morebeer.com) that call for 1.1qts/lb. There are 5 gallon grain...

    3500 Watt 220V 50Hz induction burner

The amazon listing for the Mai Cook ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016XY88AA/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 ) says it works on a 50Hz-60Hz circuit. My voltage is 220V/50Hz so I am leaning towards pulling the trigger on this one. It received good reviews from home brewers and I am looking to brew...

Test to see if yeast is good?

So I've had a package of white labs wlp001 sitting in room temperature for a couple months (I forgot about it) and am wondering if it still usable. I was planning on pitching in a 1 gallon batch so i don't need all of it which brings me to my question - Is there any test, or way to tell if it...

    How are propane tanks shipped?

Strange question, but I am getting ready to purchase a 20 lb new propane tank online (amazon, home depot, or some other place) and while I can tell it will ship empty, i would also like to know if the tank ships with the valves removed. Believe it or not this is important. So do most brand new...

    Making a small sanitizer

If I wanted to check gravity after a couple days how would I make just a small amount of sanitizer solution? Could I mix a little bit of hydrogen peroxide with distilled water, or just use some distilled water?

    Wlp820

I ordered a package of White Labs WLP820 and it took a long time to get to me, and I didn't refrigerate right away. It is now in the fridge but I'm wondering if its ruined. Is there a way to tell or how long can it be at room temperature before refrigerating?

Where to buy rectangular mash tun 'plug, pour, and play'

At northern and some other online sites I see the round mash tuns with false bottoms and they basically need minimal construction to begin using. Are there any online shops that sell a rectangular mash tun that require minimal assembly?

1 Gallon all grain batches (beercraftr.com)

Has anyone visited the site beercraftr.com? They have a recipe book that is strictly one gallon all-grain recipes. It's wonderful, and I am itching to try one for my first all-grain batch. However when reading through the recipes, all of them have a mash profile of at least 9.5 quarts...

    Sparging a 1 gallon BIAB

I am getting ready to do my first 1 gallon BIAB and I am trying to decide between two choices for sparging. They both start with heating a gallon of drinking water up to 160-165 degrees, then adding your grain bag and letting sit for an hour. While waiting, heat a gallon of sparge water to...

    Pico Pro, or just Pico

So I purchased the Pico on April 10th of this year and because of shipping issues it just arrived a couple days ago. It is still in the box so I haven't unpacked it yet. I did notice five CO2 cartridges are included, but the rest of the boxes I haven't opened. I haven't been on the Pico...
