    Maryland Growlers for sale!

I have six cases containing six 64oz growlers for sale. Growlers came from a family friend who is closing their liquor/beer store. Asking $25/case. I prefer local pick up in the Baltimore Metro area but I'd consider shipping for an additional cost. All cases are immediately available.

Drilling hole in tower for new tap

I've got all the hardware I need to upgrade my single faucet tap tower to a double faucet. For those that have done this, at what angle from the original hole do you offset the new one. I'm thinking drilling a new hole at a 45 degree angle from the first one should be fine. I think...

    Maryland Corny keg lids

I have three corny keg lids that I'm looking to sell. They're pin lock lids but they came on ball lock kegs. They have the static pressure relief valve. O-rings are in good shape. All three hold pressure and are clean. Asking $10/each. I'm located in Baltimore City.

    Scaleblaster Tankless Water Softener

I wanted to know if anyone has had any experience brewing with tap water and a Scaleblaster tankless water softener. I have one just as the water main enters my house and it works wonders! No more lime scale on my shower doors, shower heads and faucets throughout the house. Water feels...

    Peach Saison Critique (Extract)

I'm really wanting to do a Saison this summer and I just love peaches so I'm thinking this is going to be pretty good. I'm very new to brewing so please don't hold back if something doesn't look right. OG 1.065 FG 1.013 ABV 6.7% IBU 24.59 Steep I'd like to steep something here but...

Keg conditioning while I'm on a ship

I know there are a ton of threads on keg conditioning but I wanted to get specific so here goes... I work on a ship and leave for a month at a time. I'm about to keg (1st timer here!) a hefeweizen in a couple of days. My plan was to put CO2 to the keg at serving pressure (10-12PSI) and go to...

    Favorite summer beer recipes

I just brewed a hefe for mid-summer and I'm already thinking about the next brew. Looking for ideas for another summer beer. Something clean, unlike my hefe, and crisp. Preferably with a higher ABV, say 6-7%. Any thoughts? Or have a favorite summer time brew? I'm an extract brewer and...

First time brewing without a kit

I finally graduated from Mr. Beer kits! Brewed this on Saturday! Yeast is hard at work. It will be a honey hefeweizen when it's done...I hope! I'm completely paranoid that my sanitation wasn't up to par. And I find myself checking the carboy every few hours. I never thought I'd get so much...

    Propane burner

Approximately how much propane should I expect to use to boil 5gal of wort? I have about 3/4 of a tank on my grill. I would assume that's more than enough...?

How much yeast do I use??

I'm going to split 7gal of wort into a 6gal carboy and 2gal fermentation vessel. I'm looking to use WLP320. For the carboy I figure about a vial of yeast should be good. But what about the 2gal vessel... Should I use the whole vial on this or a portion of it?

Looking for a 5gal ball lock corny keg

I'm looking for 1 - 5gal ball lock corny keg. I'm located in Baltimore city so finding one in MD is preferred. However, I have family in PA and South Jersey so I'd be open to kegs available in PA, SJ and DE. Thanks! Jason

First Extract Brew - Wheat Beer

So I got into the hobby about 3 yrs ago and I've made a handful of batches using the Mr. Beer kit. I've really enjoyed it! I've made some really crappy beer and some half decent stuff. I've decided to make the jump to larger batches and started buying the equipment I need. With the Mr. Beer...
