    Hoff Stevens Taps (2x)

I've got two of these taps that have been sitting around for awhile, any interest? Let's say $40 shipped for the pair or I'd entertain a trade. Not sure if there's anything specific I really want to trade them for but my next project is a multi keg keezer if you have something useful, pm me...

    12.5 gal SS fermenter

Price $150 - I bought this stainless steel conical fermenter a week ago and am looking to raise funds for a few other brew toys. I haven't used it but it has a clear acrylic top (a small scratch on one side of the plastic as seen in the picture) and a single drain outlet on the bottom (1/2")...

    Stainless CFC

For sale is my stainless CFC I've been using for the past few months. The chiller came with brass fittings on the wort side but both arrived to me cracked when I bought it from another member so I had a local SS welder remove and attach new SS 1/2" MPT fittings to outfit the CFC as full SS on...

Boil Pulsing -PID in Manual Mode

I have a 3 vessel setup with a single PID controller that runs my HLT during my mash then I switch over to manual mode on the PID to run the boil kettle. I've autotuned the PID, using the HLT, and checked the PID temp with my pocket digital thermometer to verify that my PID and trusty...

    Red Beet Beer

I brewed up a farmhouse ale with coriander and fresh cracked black peppercorns. The total batch size was 8.5 gal, 5.5 gal going into a keg and 3 gal getting bottled. The 3 gal batch had 12 oz of red beets added to it after primary was over (approx 10 days in) and the beets stayed in the...

How to fix crack in CFC not fitting??

I finally got around to using a CFC that I purchased used and it turned out that there's a small crack around the neck of the 1/2" NPT fitting that I thread the TC fitting into. Should I JB weld this or have a new NPT fitting welded on?

2" TC x 1" NPS adapters (from Stout)

Edit: one remaining -$15 shipped Title says it all. These came with the HLT and BK I ordered and will allow a water heater heater element to be threading into the adapter for a kettle. Here a link to Stout's website for the 1.5" TC version, I've just got the 2" TC version since I increased...

Farmhouse Ale Blend (wlp670) - new equipment?

So I used the farmhouse blend in a saison that I only fermented for a total of about 5-6 weeks and never thought about the Brett yeast contaminating the equipment. Since its a blend of farmhouse yeast and Brett, should that equipment (fermenter, bottling bucket, tubing, auto siphon) be...

    PVC Aeration Wand For Drill

While sitting around this morning and reading a bit more on the electricbrewery site I came across aeration wands that can be used with drills. Any reason why a PVC tube, t fitting on one end (with 2" extensions off the bottom t), and a drill bit JB welded onto the opposite end wouldn't work...

Thank god for GFCI protection! Whet went wrong?!?!

So I got my 30 amp outlet installed, tested the voltage (246v at the receptacle), and plugged my panel in. I'm using an inline 30 amp GFCI cord from the panel to the outlet. The GFCI has a series of steps to determine its in working order, and it checked out (plug in, press test button, press...

Thread seal on element base or not

Rookie question, but since the camco base has a rubber gasket should I apply pipe thread seal tape as well? The seal tape was a little wide so I trimmed some off but are elements sealed by compression (gasket) or interference (tape) or both?

20 gal 3 Vessel Stout Kettles eHERMs Basement Build

After ordering my kettles last March and expecting to be fully operational for when they arrived in August, learning of and planning for the arrival of my baby boy (Finnley Kolsch... Can you tell my wife and I are beer fans???) chewed up build time and funding for the better part of the past...

    Simple yeast starter question

After a year of all-grain batches, 26 total and 26 successful yeast starters from either a slurry or fresh liquid (store bought) yeast I had a "wait a minute moment" I follow the 1g:10ml ratio and have always added DME for pre-boil starter volumes. My question is though, should I account for...

New Auber RTD Temp Sensor - Stout Kettle Thermowells

So I've been going back and fourth over what to do about my temperature sensor options in my Stout kettles. The thermowells are 2.25" long within the kettle and 1/2" female NPT outside. I originally bought the liquid tight RTD sensors that Auber sells since it would thread into my well, but...

    Bent Auber Temp Probe

I received my Auber order today and the temperature probe is slightly bent. The probe/sensor body is 2.5" in length with the actual temp probe being 1.75" long. The NPT only threads into my thermo-well halfway before I meet resistance with the side of the well, so the probe is in the kettle...

    Toggle Switches - NKK

I've found the perfect wiring diagram (thanks PJ!!!) and ordered all the parts except for the toggle switch to turn the element on an off. The wiring diagram I'm using is linked below... http://www.pjmuth.org/beerstuff/images/Auberin-wiring1-a4-5500w-30c1-e-stop.jpg I've double checked...
