Thank you for all the help!

...I'm not criticizing you for not remembering, that's why I repeated it... I was only mentioning it to be consistent. I didn't even expect myself to remember it, which is why I said "I think" and had to go back to double check.

Yeah, I think in my intro I said the Canadian prairies.

Thank you for all the help!

Ah, yeah. I've been told getting a license from the provincial liquor board can be difficult, but so far they've been really helpful. Also the local farmer's market has been completely welcoming already, and they have a few alcohol vendors currently so that's not an issue. Mostly just...

Thank you for all the help!

Not sure if this is the appropriate section, but I just wanted to thank you all. April 2020 my job locked down for about a month, and out of sheer boredom I stumbled across the recipe for making mead in a water jug with oranges and raisins. I had most of that lying around already so I tried...

Questions about my halloween batch (sparkling, strength, etc)

Hmm, at first I thought I'd have to carbonate it with compressed gas, but I was hoping to avoid that. If I re-added some yeast before bottling would they just consume all the extra honey, or would they stop due to the pressure before the honey was consumed?

Questions about my halloween batch (sparkling, strength, etc)

So as I said in my intro, this is my second attempt at making mead (although my first serious attempt) and the more I try to research and learn, the more questions I end up with. I hope I can kind of just dump them all here to keep from cluttering up the place. So I have a recipe I want to try...

    Hello from the Canadian Praries.

Hey all, thought I should start with an introduction. I tried my hand at making mead during my coronavirus lockdown and it turned out better than expected so I'm starting to look at it serious. I'm planning on starting a new batch this halloween, but I have a ton of questions, although I'm not...
