Thanks, Thats what I figured. Last 3 times I made this i was mashing around 150. I didnt take the actual temp just used a calculation and thats what im assuming I got. The beer blew off... this time I took the temps and it was 154 for 60 mins... My OG was @ 1.056. Fermented nice, but no blow...
I made this about 2 months ago and ran a blow off tube. I only get slight bubbles. No kraousin (sp). Pitched WL sweet mead yeast. WLP720. Just pulled a sample. It's good, really sweet. Any thoughts? The fruit is all still floating too..........?
Well... I made this beer on Friday Apr 20. I plan to dry hop on Apr 30, Keg and Force carb on Tues May 8th and serve on Sat May 12th.... Im not saying this is my ideal way to make and serve this beer, but I need it for a party on that day.. I did whip up a blonde last sat the 21 that I have...
im at 3 weeks on in the fermentor, and 1 week on the vanilla bean.. I really want to keg this tonight, so I can enjoy it this weekend...... Any thoughts on the timing? How long are you guys waiting?? BTW, I tried it last night, and its fliping amazing....
Just tried my 2nd go at this beer.... First time I used white labs Nottingham platinum series, and this time wl001..... I have to say I like it better with the 001..... Great beer. Making it for a party in may... That will be the 3, maybe 4 batch by then..... Hats off to the OP. cheers
