Finally!! After 2 and a half weeks I finally was able to find and dig up a hops plant. I was able to get about 2 ft of roots with the start. The trouble was that it was growing in the middle of a rasberry briar and I couldn't tell what start was what. Had to wait to see some true leaves...

The cenntenials I received this year were only the size of my middle finger. The Nuggets looked about the size of a roosters foot with three toes and the other was three times that size with three offshoots.

Best of luck with your new hops. I like the idea of using an existing fence for support. You aught to be able to weave in a new upright rather easily with minimal effort. Good idea.
