Help! My recipe list is unstable and I try clicking on the sync button and the recipe list crashes. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this the end of my brewing? got a Z2 delivered last August. I've only brewed on it 6 times. Nevermind! It was my Edge browser. I switched to Firefox and it...

    Picobrew Z For Sale

I have a Z2. Haven’t brewed on it yet, but it’s nice that the servers are running. I paid about $1700 for it. I guess brewing is a little like owning a boat. Hopefully it won’t turn into an anchor. I can’t imagine that some rich person won’t keep it all going just because it’s cool.

Anybody know if we keep getting the $100 credit after the prices go up? I asked by email but got no reply.

It’s my own code. Just put something in the cart to check yours.

I checked my code and it doesn’t work. Anybody else have the same issue?

I'd have to be assured I could clean the column in the picostill. The inside has got to get contaminated with resins and all sorts of sticky organics.

There appears to be no threads on the picostill. Anyone using one and getting good results? I’d be interested if I could make a variety of flavored moonshine without going blind.

The thing is, I could go other routes if someone made a compelling argument for a specific route to take, that wasn’t solely cost driven. If there are better outcomes to be had, I would want to consider them, cost factor aside. But clearly anyone considering this particular solution is not...

The advantage? 1) probably built to last 2) documentation of the process 3) cleanup cycle 4) recipe flexibility with kit or own recipe 5) mature product cycle 6) introductory price 7) personally I’m going from extract/bottles to all-grain kegging 8) automation 9) 2 or more recipes at once 10)...

It would be nice to know how the pre-sales have split out. I suspect it’s been mostly us home brewers. At $1.5K or $2K a pop, 2.4M in sales is only, let’s say around 1,400 purchasers. The number is sort of underwhelming, even if sales double or triple through July. Fortunately the Zymatic...

Given the capacity of the Z2 and purpose-built continuous use, I’m thinking it’s a wort-generating machine any brewers club would want to take up a collection and purchase. Granted, it would need to be housed somewhere, but can you imagine the popularity of this machine among a group of people...

I get the impression that I could part out my Z2 into two Z1's if the purchaser bought a power controller. If that top piece is a power controller. Not that I would, but it would be nice to have that option if I rarely needed a 5 gallon batch of anything.

    The master becomes the student

yeah. this is what I like about forums, somebody is always there to save me from my mistakes. But seriously, I just want a system that works without the tinkering on the engineering side of things. I figure I have enough to do with the recipe and the cleanup. Maybe it will disappoint but at...

    The master becomes the student

I've been looking at the home-made broo rigs people have built. Those are great but I'm no engineer. I figure my results are a function of using tap water, using extracts, and never really making that big of an effort to carefully worry about pH, and temperature and timing. Plus I use corn...

    The master becomes the student

I started out with the 5 gal bucket and extract and have brewed off and on since the early 80's. My brews have generally just come out "OK" as I keep doing the same thing; my tinkering never got good results. The good part about that is my students have all surpassed me in brewing skill and...
