Hmm, maybe I'll modify the old dupont foamboard cabinet to a closet for my pretty conical
Thanks for the link, I searched a little and couldn't find any details.
Pipe wrap is a fine idea. I do need to figure out where the temperature losses are, but I'm guessing that giant stainless steel bell end is working as a very effective heat sink to keep the temps high. I thought this solution would be far more effective than it is though.
One thing I did...
Here's my setup:
Spike brewing CF5 (No jacket yet, it's coming today.)
I have their cooling coil with two 3/8" stems coming from the top.
From this I am drawing two 3/8" PVC lines into a small dorm fridge (retired kegerator)
Inside I have a small basin of water/propylene glycol (around a...
It works fine if you filter the hops out somehow. For now I am just using a hop bag so I can remove them after flame out. Later I'll put in a screen or something.
But yes, gravity is fine. I may add a pump but really, life is complicated enough.
tell me, what is the metal skin around your burners made of? I have some heat bleed that I intend to contain but my old man and I couldn't decide what material might be best for this.
lolwut.
"electricity" doesn't just happen.
It comes from here, for most of us:
Electric is only more _convenient_ - it is rarely more efficient. Certainly not as a heat source.
And of course, _nothing_ is 100% efficient, nor can it be.
Old thread I know, but a friend and I were talking. being that I live in SE Wi the temps can drop below 0 for long periods of time. Something like this might work just fine to keep the temps correct, during the winter months...
Remember that the next time your friend says it's a waste of time to interact with politicians. You can make a different, no matter how trivial this law may be to many people.
(I've contacted my 2(3) by the way)
