    First AG, one big mistake but..

    Blowing air definately works, I had to this on my first ag batch too. Two tips: 1) Blow VERY gently, just enough to move the wort, until you get the clog free. I blew hot mash all over my "assistant", oops. 2) Once you clear the clog wait about 5 min to start your pull. Expect to have to...

    Steel Panther!! Nice. Usual some doom metal, melvins kryuss, slayer, etc... Helps keep me focused. I don't want my music to lull me to sleep, that's how I miss my hop schedule!!

    So, first solo AG batch is a DFH 90 clone(ambitious I know), I shot for 10 gallons ended up with 13 (someone bumped the valve while fly sparging, obviously I wasn't paying attention). Shooting for 1.085, hit 1.082 surprisingly. Did a 1600ml starter with 2 vials of wlp007 without adding any...

    Brewed DFH 90 min clone. Shot for 11 gallons at 1.085, ended up with 13 at 1.082. I'll take it.
