    Yeast Sight Glass Location

I have mine right below the cone, but before the elbow and butterfly valve. I don't harvest yeast though, so if you want to do that, you'd have to change your placement.

    Waterproof remote thermometer

That's the one. I just use the optional needle probe instead of the included ones

    Waterproof remote thermometer

I use the thermoworks smoke with the waterproof needle probe. It comes with a unit that allows you to monitor the temperatures remotely. They are supposed to be releasing a wifi adapter for it soon, so you'll be able to monitor temps from your phone.

Looking @ New Kettles. Need input

I have a 10 gallon Ss Brewtech kettle and 2 10 gallon Spike Brewing kettles. The Spike kettles are considerably nicer and are well worth the extra cost. I plan on switching my ss brewtech kettle for a spike kettle in the future.

Maybe I'm trying to whirlpool too fast, but my ss brewtech whirlpool fitting clogs with just an ounce of hops used during the boil.

New conical, trub & yeast first time

Hello neighbor. I generally dump after 3-4 days, after primary is complete, and after cold crashing. Yes, it's fine. I soak my vinyl tubing often.

    Cheap Digital Tap List?

Take a look at taplist.io. It's a recent project by Mike, the creator of Kegbot.

    Good brewpubs/tasting rooms in Denver?

Avery has a nice new setup just East of Boulder. Odell, in Fort Collins, is a must visit IMO.

    2nd fermentation SCOBY

I've seen people dehydrate and eat it. I've also seen people add cinnamon and sugar to it and bake it for a bit before eating it. I don't have the guts to try it...

Tried Kombucha for the first time......

A lot of health food stores sell starters. They are normally over by the refregerators where they keep the kombucha. It's a small amount of starter tea and a piece of a mother.

First Look: SS Brewtech Infussion Mash Tun

You have to remove the batteries to shut it off. IMO the thermometer is a complete piece of crap. However, it does appear to be accurate.
