Good to hear! Tasted a beer yesterday, and it's not very good. First time using columbus hops, and used waaay too much for aroma. Hoping it will get better, because I have 5 gallons
Made a yeast starter the day before I brewed, apparently not a very good one. I have used washed yeast in the past with no problems, so that's not much of an issue for me.
Thanks for the suggestions so far guys
Whaddup, only started brewing this year and made the following recipe
Amt Name Type # %/IBU
4.60 kg Pale Malt (Weyermann) (5.0 EBC) 1 83.6 %
0.60 kg Munich Malt (24.0 EBC) 10.9 %
0.15 kg Carared (Weyermann) (47.3 EBC) 2.7 %
0.15 kg Caramunich III (Weyermann) (139.9 EBC) 3 2.7 %
Amt...
I don't think you add the IBU's, rather get an average between the 2. If you have 2 bottles of the same beer, and combine them in one glass, it's not going to be double as bitter.
Bottled this on Monday, drank a few today and it's great! Changed the some amounts, but pretty much followed the recipe. Will probably make this often. Thanks!
