First Berliner / Kettle Sour -- Stuck?

What worked? Adding another Good Belly or letting it sit for 18 hours? I've had one going for about 4 days and it's also stuck at about 3.8 pH.

Pliny the Younger Release this Friday!

Anyone in the area heading up to RR on Friday? I'm probably going to try and have lunch there at 11am. I guess this year they aren't filling growlers and are only serving 10 oz. "half pints." Does anyone know where I can get a growler of this filled?

Weissbier Bee Cave Brewery Bavarian Hefeweizen

I've been out of the brewing game for a while, and was wondering what happens after this is kegged. I am thinking about doing this as my first all-grain (good idea?). Anyway, a lot of these recipes seem to get kegged fairly soon. When does aging occur? Is it kegged and hooked up to CO2 at room...

    Hydrometer question

Thanks, I figured I'm about done with this one. A higher FG is just going to be a sweeter tasting beer, right?

    Hydrometer question

I understand that. I have never tasted the beer before it's completion, so today worried me a bit. The sample was really sweet tasting and not very hoppy like a pale ale should be.

    Hydrometer question

My hydrometer is supposed to be at 60*F so that would affect it even more so correct? Am I right in assuming that if I take a reading at a higher temp, then the true OG should be higher than what I'm reading?

    Hydrometer question

I did not top off to 5 gallons, but I'm also not absolutely positive it's significantly less. Also, the integrity of my OG measurement may be off as well. I'm just looking for advice on how to proceed. Should I just see if the FG changes tomorrow, and if not, bottle it?

    Hydrometer question

Hey guys, I just brewed my first batch in about 2 years and I have admittedly gone back to the noob stage. I brewed Ed Wort's Haus Pale Ale, and it was my first time using my new turkey fryer. Previously, I had never really used the hydrometer, but instead just waited extra time before...

    Sweet Stout Deception Cream Stout

Has anyone tried St. Peter's Cream Stout? I really want to brew this, so I went and got some St. Peter's (since I'm not well versed in cream stouts). I am not really digging the St. Peter's so I was wondering how the two compare.

WTS: 10 gallon Rubbermaid Cooler MLT

From what I've seen, $80 shipped is a steal. You shouldn't have any problems getting rid of this. Please let us know if the pick up falls through.

    Sweet Stout Deception Cream Stout

Okay so I guess that's standard price for this recipe (if doing extract). Thanks!

    Sweet Stout Deception Cream Stout

For those doing five gallon extract batches, where are you buying your ingredients? At Austinhomebrew, everything comes out to about $55. Is it cheaper elsewhere?

Maybe he doesn't want to taste anything for a week after drinking this one.

That's kind of what I was getting at. Not questioning your judgment at all, just confused like the OP.
