    Home brewing in Japan

Hi Erik, I'm also stationed at the base. There is a store a few blocks down from Yokosukachuo, same street, same side called Mine Mart. It's a Japanese liquor store and that's where I get my co2. It helps if you speak a little Japanese, I speak none so it was a little rocky when I got mine...

I get my hops directly from a hop farm, I have the ability for liquid yeast online- but would prefer a local source if available. Pound for pound, it cost more to get the grains out here than the cost of the grain itself. I'm...

    Home brewing in Japan

I saw those awhile back, biggest problem, I can't read Japanese and the google translate works, but not good enough to decipher differences and successfully place an order... Saw a post that said military gets cheaper shipping rates, I'd hate to see full prices...

    Home brewing in Japan

Moved out to Yokosuka a few months ago and finally got back into homebrewing once I found some places that would ship out here. Now I'm trying to upgrade to all-grain, however, with shipping costs it nulls out my primary reason for wanting to do so. Does any one have a line on some grain...

Belgian strong ale help needed here

Hi, new homebrewer and new to the forum and I'm brewing a Belgian golden strong ale, using Belgian strong ale yeast. It's been a week today, and I know it still needs more time in the primary, but its hardly doing anything and is slowly starting to clear up. I had intended on leaving it in for...
