Help the guy make the beer HE wants, not the cream ale YOU would make.
Soak in PBW for days, rinse, repeat until clean. It should breakdown any organic matter.
After it is clean, smack yourself acrossed the knuckles a few times so you remember not to do that again.

No problem, just release the pressure slowly as not to lose too much carbonation. When you put the sanitized dip tube back in, you may get some foaming.
