Buy some quality paper towels for this, they won't fall apart as easily.
I do what other have said. Wipe down the carboy neck and stopper with paper towel and you will be fine.
So i bottled my first batch 7 days ago and couldn't wait and opened one last night. Good carb and good head but still a touch green. I have been reading 2-3 weeks to bottle condition. Is it normal to be carb'd after only 7 days?
So I tasted before bottling and it tasted pretty darn good for a warm not carbonated beer. It was different than after primary. I also took a Coors and let it warm and lose carbonation to have a comparison. Thanks for the advice, now we wait 3 weeks.
