Just yesterday, I installed Raspberry Pi Desktop on an old Mac Mini, then installed Raspberry Pints. Works well if you just want tap list, no meters, probes, etc. PM me if you want to know more!
Not sure if this will be of interest to anyone, but I'll post it here anyway. Some may recall I was having trouble with my RPi Zero W because Chrome was no longer supported on the Zero in Bullseye, so I upgraded to a RPi Zero 2 W, installed everything and yes Chrome is supported, but my god so...
yes, that's the problem. Also RPints used to run ok on my Zero W, but after upgrading the OS, it appears that Chromium is no longer supported on the Zero and not sure about the Zero 2. Maybe someone that has one will chime in.
I ask, because I have an old Zero W (single core) and you're right, it is struggling, so figured I should upgrade but I don't want to spend more than I have to :)
Just thinking out of the box here... is there a way to run a headless VLC at the same time as RPints? That way I can have a background stream playing music...
what I did when I set up my RPi was to enable ssh and ftp... as long as I know the IP I can access the RPi, works great... should say I'm on Mac OS X 11.4
So, I like to have a two-column display, which before the latest RandR+ update displayed OK. Now it seems the right-hand side gets cut off a bit. And yes it shows like this on the Pi display not just in my Mac browser. And thanks again for that clock display!
