Hi folks. So I started my batch of pale ale (barons beer kit) on June.10th. On June 16th I racked it into the carboy with a gravity reading of 1.012 (see photo)
I was told by a friend to transfer back into primary add the sugar and bottle after 7 days which would be on the 23rd of June and...
Hey everyone,
I just transferred from my primary to the carboy and added water to about 2 inches below the rubber part of the air lock like it said in the instructions. Can anyone let me know if it looks okay? It's a pale ale and I transferred it at a gravity of 1.014 because the instructions...
My apologies I should clarify my question: it says to add a little bit of water after I've transferred it into the secondary so it doesn't have much head space.
The barons beer kit I have says to add in a little bit of water once you transfer from primary to carboy. That correct? If I don't will it make a difference? It's a pale ale.
The fermentation is supposed to die down though right? I apologize for all my messages. I'll be opening the lid up in a couple of days to rack it to my secondary tho so I can have the airlock and stuff
So after 72 hours the fermentation pretty much stayed the same as shown in the picture. It didn't rise very much is that bad? It's now going down or something and is more "soupy"
