Just as an FYI, I had brewed another batch of graff last September, I still have 2 gallons or so in a keg and I tasted it yesterday. It has aged quite well! Still very drinkable and a nice apple aroma.
I was given a 2 tap jockey box with Perlick faucets, plate chiller, and two sankey connectors. Im wanting to change it out to ball lock. My only question is that the existing tubing is 7/16" id, should I replace the tubing or adapt the ball lock connectors to fit the existing tubing? Im not sure...
If your vessel will hold pressure, rig a bung with a gas port and hook it up to co2. If you kept it at even a 1/4 lb of positive pressure, there would be no worry of oxygen.
I used pb2 in a chocolate peanut butter stout and it tasted quite good. If I brew it again I’ll go with approximately 25% more as the flavor was good, just subtle.
Soldering isn’t hard, it just takes patience. Make sure your joints are cleaned properly, fluxed, and that you let the joint heat properly before you add the solder. It should flow right into the joint.
I lucked into a kegerator with kegs, 20lb co2 tank, and some other goodies for 200 on CL when I first started brewing. I’ve bottled one batch I made with/for a friend but that’s it. No regrets here.
My wife and I are self employed as dog groomers. Just yesterday I needed to reschedule some dogs for the wife as she was VERY ill and needed to rest. 9out of the 10 were fine with it, but the one kept on about how this was unprofessional and was very inconvenient for her..........
I brew in my basement with LP. I vent the steam out a window using an exhaust hood and fan and I haven’t had any issues. The only thing I don’t do is keep the LP tank in the basement when I’m not using it. Safety and precautions are a necessity, of course, but my CO meter has never registered...
