    Picobrew systems have any value?

I get that nobody wants them anymore, but I hear you can use as a sous vide? How is that? Like I mentioned I never used one even when they had the grain paks. And speaking of which, there must be a way to 3D print a filter of some sort and make your own recipes with your own recipes?

Need advice brewing with well water and on a septic system

Your water is fine. Brew with it. Keep a little lactic acid around to adjust mash pH and maybe some Gypsum and Calcium Chloride for minor adjustments to match historical styles. Yeast, trub etc is great for septic systems. Star san is ok too but I just dump that stuff in the driveway to keep...

    Picobrew systems have any value?

Made to be Broken: Style Bending and Thinking Outside the Box

I always tell people that beer styles are like classic cars. There are fine representations of factory stock models (classic styles like BJCP) and then there are modified cars, hot rods, low riders, trucks, retro rat rods etc. (those are all the other wonderful beers that don't fit in the first...

What came in the mail for you today?

I got my monster mill III today. It is a beast and seems to be well made for sure. However there was absolutely zero literature with it. No instructions, no image of it assembled, no warranty info...not even marketing papers or a invoice. Just a mill, a bunch of sheet metal parts and a bag of...

    American IPA Stonefruit Salad

A few members of my brew club made it and it's their favorite as well. In it's first few weeks it's amazing. Then it's still a top notch IPA. With my efficiency it comes in about 8.5%
