    Back in 1950's I use to brew beer with my dad the way he made it back in Prohibition days. A stone crock, 5 gallons of water, 1 can Blue Ribbon Malt,5 lbs sugar, 1 cake of baking yeast.     I used this tank for a mash tun and had the tank jacket hooked up to a Chromalox 250 vac, 26 amp, 3000w, 50 to 250 degrees heater and a pump to circulate the hot water around the tank. I can email pictures if interested. I'm from Norwich NY that's halfway between Binghamton and Utica NY
