    Suggestions for a Burner

This is what I use. It works well and after 2 batches I still have probably half a tank of propane left. It takes a bit to get up to a boil, not sure exactly how long as I haven't timed it, but it's a hell of a lot faster than my electric range...

Do You Dryhop Your Pale Ales?

I dry hopped my last APA w Willamette and am a big fan. It my first pale but will likely do it again.

    first great batch!

My first IIPA was really good, drank my last one last night :(, and the APA I brewed last turned out AWESOME! It's super light, almost looks like Bud, super clear and has a hell of a hop kick. I like it so much I'm already down to my last 12 pack in a little over a week.

New to UT, LHBS & more

I live in West Valley and go to SCBS for my ingredients but I had to stop into Beer Nut on my way home from work (Layton) for a new bottling spigot. They close at 6:30 on week nights and I was by the ball park at about 6:20 so I called them and asked if they'd be willing to hang out for a few...

A break from all the brew stand & keeper builds - Homemade Margarita Machine.

I hope that's a new garbage disposal lol. Pretty good idea tho.

    Butterscotch Beer

Maybe rack to secondary onto a whole bag of werther's for a couple weeks? As far as the style of beer goes I think a brown would be good.

    Beer Glassware

I bought this set from kohls (http://m.kohls.com/kohlsopenapi/productmobile.html?productID=1514631). I mostly use the pilsner glass and the tulip.

Should I add a whole carb drops to my under-carbed beer?

I used the rest if the package on the pale I bottled last night. I haven't ever used them before and figured it'd be easier than measuring out and boiling sugar for priming, not that it's hard, just figured I'd use them since I had them.

Should I add a whole carb drops to my under-carbed beer?

Well, I ended up adding half a drop to each beer. I threw one in the fridge yesterday morning before I left for work and cracked it open tonight when I got home, it had a small head but still didn't have much carbonation, the flavor is awesome tho, much better than the last one I tried a couple...

Should I add a whole carb drops to my under-carbed beer?

So I bottled an Amber ale about 4 weeks ago and underestimated the volume of beer going into the bottling bucket, I estimated about 3.5 gallons and ended up w closer to 4.75 gallons. Needless to say my beer is under-carbonated. Someone on here, don't recall who, suggested adding a carb drop to...

    Lord of the Rings.......

I love Alestorm. I shoulda known when you said heavy metal and Viking in the same sentence lol. They come up on one of my stations every once in a while and always think to myself that I need to listen to more of them. I haven't heard of Finntroll tho, but I'll check them out.

What station? It sounds right up my alley.

Just tried Blue Moon for the first and last time.

Blue moon used to be my go to "craft" beer, it's actually what got me into craft beer. I got a case of it a few weeks ago cuz it sounded good and I was very disappointed. It didn't taste nearly as good as I remembered it tasting. Same happened w some shock top my sister brought over last time...

    Colorants? Anyone experiment?

I'd be worried about the beet flavor, which I personally don't care for, being too prominent. As far as the color transferring to the head, I don't know.

    Tepache!

This really intrigues me. I'm not a huge pineapple fruit fan but I like pineapple juice, weird huh? I like the idea of maybe adding some mangoes too, tho it would probably take a lot of mangoes to have a noticeable flavor as pineapple can be pretty strong. I can see having a pitcher of this in...
