- I started brewing beer in 1971 using extract from the grocery store and a recipe developed on a university computer when they took up whole rooms! Fast forward several years and I went all grain and have never looked back. I brew about 200 gallons a year and give away 3/4 of it to son-in-laws and friends. I made most of my brewing equipment.
