I still have all intentions to, but I've been quite happy with phase angle, but am still adjusting it down to see how low I can go with my percentages. This takes quite a bit of time as I do an entire batch at one setting and then do the next one lower, and check the results in the final...
Look at my build thread and you can find a bit of information on the quadzilla there. I think without that element I'd have another kettle and a HERMS setup.
All this information is already in this thread, if you read the manual in post 1475 I can all but guarantee half of the problems you keep having will go away.
Any words on this? I never thought about adding another mega to my brewery, but for this price why not. I could add all of my cold side onto this, and then free up more analog inputs and spots on my relay boards for more data points and other stuff for the hot side process.
After talking with Pete about the Quadzilla performance, I couldn't shake the idea of using a proportional ssr to lower the thermal stress on the wort even further. My goal through this endeavor is to keep the two vessel setup, while enjoying the low stress on the wort you can achieve with...
I got two boxes and still not enough space, starting over I'd go with one massive box say 6 ft high and 2-4 ft wide. I put most of my in-process transmitters in the smaller one, but have had to squeeze stuff wherever it fits now.
Awesome thanks! I haven't upgraded yet as I'm brewing today and didn't want to change anything up until after this batch is done. I had a bunch of additions and changes I worked on and haven't tested them out on an actual brew.
So its been a minute since I posted anything here, I've been slowly upgrading and adding to the setup over time. I added another spunding setup so I can spund two kegs at once along with dynamic pressure alarms so that if the average pressure shoots up or drops for whatever reason I'll get an...
And that's why you buy it in a can, no light struck flavors and the superiority of canning due to limited o2 ingress after canning shows off the great beer that Budvar/Budweiss is.
