I haven't tried the IPA yet. I did reach out to Omega to see if they had any experience with an ipa and jovaru. They said they thought it might be more Belgian IPA but haven't tried it.
I was just thinking about trying it with a dry hopped cider. I think I might bump cider up on the list...
You changed from refract to tilt pretty quick unless I didn't read the time stamp right.
If you keg you could keg you beer before it's done and use a sounding valve to see when the pressure stops building...then it's done...or stalled.
I didn't have much luck with a refrac post fermentation...
Switch to oxyclean free. It's like 3 bucks a pound. Not as strong but if you keep your stuff clean it shouldn't been a problem. I use pbw on new equipment or really dirty equipment. Or once or twice a year on normal equipment.
You could try regular oxyclean which is like 2 bucks a pound at...

I would just like to have my hops free in the boil. I've clogged my stock pump with only like 3oz or 4 oz. Am I doing something wrong? I would like to be able to whirlpool like 8 oz without sticking the pump and have a good enough cone to keep most in the pot.
I was looking at the Anvil swirly arm or brewers hardware spin cycle. Does anyone have good experience with either with the narrow pot diameter of the foundry? I'm assuming you need a better pump than the stock foundry one. Thanks.
No love for the Jovaru??
Hoping fermenting on the colder side will reduce some of the farmhouse and hopefully let the lemon pitch still come through.
Thoughts?
I haven't used helio but I did a pale ale with mostly mash hop and cosmic. Turned out very fruity punch, tropical guava. Not sure that's what you're looking for.
I really liked these when I saw kegland announce the release. Before the release I bought a dozen 1 liter pet bottles, carb caps and some cut beer line for dip tubes. I like this better to take beer places. I get smaller amounts to mix and match beer I take, I can just pour out the bottle...
