i have a pretty bumper crop...
the home brewers garden and the homegrown hops books i have tell you the settings and time roughly required for a full drying in a dehydrator, but is there a weight over volume calc for the correct dry % weight verus green weight?
any help would be great
i use all brass on the bottom and brass and copper on the returns up top for recirc and chiller boil and i'm still here to post. the worst thing you could do is not boil aluminum enough before brewing with it.
cool beans i did more of a grape thing with four post but this give me ideas of being able to build a real straight line style hop yard.
good growing man
side note: it looks like you have clay or rocky soil. mines sandy so it drains well but i have to fert it frequently.
i did a one liter from a propagator smack. i know it is about half the reccomended rate but i kinda just jumped into it =(
one week lter and it is showing slow signs of fermentation, i proly did hold it a room temp too long.
thanks, i'm still trying to dial in my temp control its either at 55 or 40 it seems no matter where the dial is in between its really touchy but i threw it in the fridge. i did a steam on sunday to and that is slowing down but started before this one so hopefully it will drop temp in time to benifit
i have a pilsner going with wyeast 2007 pilsner strain. the keg is bubbling hard with a few drops of fercap to avoid the mess at room temp brewed sunday started ferment by the afternoon yesterday.
i picked up a johnson analog temp control for my kegerator i have it dialed for 55 and i'm...
good stuff, very much in every packy and on tap at every local pub in the northeast. i favor the boston lager and the cream stout, their sumer ale is ok but i like the magic hat version better
No, its outside the fridge and the lines are run through the side and chalked. I know what you mean with the low temp psi drop from dealing with welding gas
i think my valve may be leaking cause it dropped from 300psi to near zero with the valve shut overnight, just trying to get an idea i did like 5 5gal batches just force carb no force filter and the tank was full at like 1500-2000psi. keg aren't leaking
a reminder... if you use a mig machine that does solid wire and fluxcore you have to change the polarity inside the machine. basically making the torch + and the ground - or vise versa, the rig would be marked however
nice rig i'm build a very similar you but with 15 gal AL pot so it alil taller, i'm still waiting for my burners of the same kind, what are you planning on using for valves on the gas manifold?
you only need 16g to 1/8 on the heavy side for the tube thickness, any cheap mig will do but an investment in a lincon, or hobart/miller would be worth it if you planned on using it for other things and the consumables like tips and torches would be easier to find.
i have a hobart 120v mig...
