Man! They are good with some coffee ☕️
😂 that’s adds a whole new perspective to it. Maybe you’re on to something! Maybe the new staple will be stroopenwaffle instead of oranges 😂
I was thinking about adding water and boiling the waffles for a minute. Maybe just in the mash then? I’ve read where people had put it in the mash, and it seemed to work out, but none in the secondary. Just trying to get crazy with it 😂
I was planning on doing a dragons milk reserve replica, and was wondering what you guys thought about putting stoopwaffels in the secondary. If so any ideas on cooking them?
Thanks for the help. I just want to make sure I’m doing things right. 😂 I think that was the 1st time I used the s-04. it’s hard for me not to watch it rn. It’s like that shiny new toy to me at the moment. I’ll eventually get over watching it. I’ve just seen a lot of people saying aeration...
It’s a 6 gallon bucket I’m using. There is 5 gallons in so a gallon headspace. I used 2 dry packs of safale-04. Aerated the wort really well, then sprinkled the dry yeast on top of the wort. What is better? Dry or rehydrated yeast? It seemed to take off super quick dry. I’m not going to touch it...
Sure. I’m using 2 packs of safale-04 yeast, so maybe that is it. I didn’t know they fermented so quickly. Temp is around 73. 5 gallon batch. Expected gravity around 10.There is a yeast cake on the bottom already as well.
So within 8 hours of fermentation I had c02 bubbles every 1 second, and through out that same day. The next day I had c02 every 2 seconds. It’s seems like it’s already starting to taper off a bit. I know it’s supposed to do that, but I just thought it would be about the same the next day if not...
Neh, it’s a lager 😂 just messin man. It’s a chocolate stout, but we will see how it ends up… so should I wait till the yeast falls to the bottom, or would it be perfectly fine to go ahead and bottle?
That’s what I was leaning towards, but I was just wanting to make sure. Been just reading about what it could be and just thought I would get a way better opinion than my own. 😂
