Same issue. Used my FF about 6 times now and 3 times the gasket fell in. After the first time I tried lubing it up with some keg lube to provide some stickiness (and to help seal the leaking lid)...no dice, still had it fall in.
I don't have a foam version but would give it a try.
Keg lube not vaseline. I tried keg lube on the silicone gasket after the first time my gasket fell in, hoping the keg lube would help the gasket "stick" to the lid and create a better seal. Worked as wished the next time I had to put the top on. Then the next time after that, boom...gasket fell...
BrewHaHa Supply in Jackson. Mac will take care of you.
The local Jackson club will probably meet *Oct* 21. Will confirm that.
Nov 3, Outlaw Homebrew Comp down in Hattiesburg. Worth the ride down from Jackson.
In addition to the not-sealing-tight issue, my gasket fell out and into the beer the first time I used it (before it could be screwed on)
I started lubing the gasket top & bottom with keg lube. No problems with either issue since.
Yep, I was one of the speakers. My portion was on changing beer laws grassroots style.
Let me know if I can provide any info. The audio and presentation will be up on the AHA soon.
I was in San Diego last summer for another conference. Did several rides with Lyft too. Talking with the drivers they seem to use and flip between both apps (or use two phones). I used Uber way more for whatever reason....but loved using them both. Such cheap rides and never really waited more...
This link below will get you $20 discount and you can hitch an Uber ride with me to the local pubs and I'll buy you a pint. :tank: :cross:

Last year was my first NHC. The banquet was cool. I'd say everyone should do it at least once. I can see where if you were not with friends it might be a looong dinner. I was with 2 friends from home last year and one won gold, so it was a fun night.
This year, one of my entries made it to...
I'm planning to go a step further and grind away about an 1/8+" of the bottom lip of the lid. So the top of the lid will seat better on the gasket that I'll figure out how to keep from falling in the wort {Put gasket on FF first...then screw lid...maybe}
