Op just sent me a text of another picture. Definitely infected. The pellicle is starting to form and we're starting to see those classic dusty bubbles. My guess is it starting to form due to oxygen being let in from opening the fermenter. Bummer.
A pellicle is an indication that oxygen is present inside the fermenter and not an indication of how fast the bacteria/yeast is working. I have had some very funky/acidic beers that had no pellicle whatsoever. To me it looks like there is still krausen on top of the beer with maybe some CO2...

4lbs flaked wheat
.75lbs caramunich
Belle Saison and de bon sour blend

The cooling LED does come on and blinks when power is first applied to the STC. After a minute or two the light stops blinking and becomes steady. When this happens you can hear the STC "click" as if it is pulling in a coil to close the set of cooling contacts. I have verified that the fridge...
So today I was helping a buddy hard wire his STC-1000 to his fridge for temperature control (cooling only). We wired the STC-1000 per the schematic below and had no luck getting it to kick on the compressor to the fridge. If you look at the schematic below we took wire number 10 which came from...
