    Gluten Free Belgian Strong

Thanks for the response. I'll keep looking around and try to get this in the brew rotation during the summer when I can get temps up to the right range. I'll post some pictures and results when I do!

American Pale Ale Cascades / Orange Pale Ale

Racked to secondary to dry hop on Saturday and the taste was solid already. Good flavor with moderate bitterness and the aroma was already nice even before the dry hopping. I am amazed at the beautiful orange color too. Looking forward to bottling after 14 days and getting it carbed up...

    Gluten Free Belgian Strong

Hi, folks - I'm kicking this old thread as I am very interested in brewing this one for my gluten-sensitive mother, but I'm struggling to find the best place to get Tapioca Syrup. My LHBS doesn't seem to have it and it seems to be available online here and there, but I'm not sure what supplier...

I picked up the ingredients today and I'm looking forward to brewing it up on Sunday! Thanks for the recipe.

    Saison Cottage House Saison

Pitched about 10 hours ago and it's bubbling away. Hit nearly 84% efficiency and underestimated the honey impact to gravity so I was a tad high on the OG at 1.067, but I can already call it a success. The first wirt hop smelled AMAZING and now I just need to find out a way to be patient for...

    Saison Cottage House Saison

Ingredients have been purchased for a Saturday morning brew day of this recipe. I'm not a huge fan of Fuggles for some reason so I substituted EKG, like some others. Thanks for the recipe. I'll update with pictures during the brew...

British Brown Ale Nut Brown AG

Picked up ingredients for this today for a brew day tomorrow. Looks delicious! This will be a celebration brew for my Brother's 40th in June.

    Fruit Beer Lemon-Lime Hefe Weizen

2 weeks in the bottle after 3 in primary. It's crazy delicious and for sure will be brewed again. Thanks, Slim!

    Fruit Beer Lemon-Lime Hefe Weizen

It's officially bottled after a 22 day primary! I'm really looking forward to tasting a fully carbed and cold one in 2-3 weeks. The taste is very smooth and the lime is there, but not in your face. I think the carbonation will really get the crispness on the palate. The smoothness along...

How To Make A Beer Crate For 12oz Beer Bottles

I think that's a great idea as well and more mindful of the budget. The rods look great, but honestly took a $5 per crate average up to around $8. Not crazy by any means, but it does shift the cost more than a little.

How To Make A Beer Crate For 12oz Beer Bottles

Ended up with 3 case size and 1 that fits a dozen that I'll use as my "travel case". I also found some thin steel rods that I fit between some partial pilot holes as a guide. I only have them going lengthwise at this point, but I may break down and add the short ones too to make a grid. Now...

How To Make A Beer Crate For 12oz Beer Bottles

Stopped at Lowes this morning and picked up some materials. A few hours later I have my first of many crates ready for finishing. This is a great low cost project! I used wood glue and a mixture of 1" staples and 1 5/8" brads with my pneumatic nailer and it's nice! Thanks!

Irish Red Ale Quaffable Irish Red (All Grain) Scrapper's

This was also my first All Grain brew last year and I too added a few oz of roasted barley. The end result was absolutely delicious, but it missed the style mark of an Irish red. The flavor was great, although not a red, and the color turned into a dark amber. Good luck!
