I just completed wiring and setting up my stc 1000. I included an always on outlet and a cooling outlet. It was a simple task using the information included in this thread and the many threads on wiring it. Thanks to all who have contributed. I am learning a lot by reading these threads...
The items pictureed on the stand are there just for the picture. I am in the process of buildingan eelectric brew kettle and will be transitioning from extract brewing to all grain sometime this year. That is what the stand is primarily for. I will also use it when I bottle or transfer to kegs.
I just completed my new brew stand. The shelves are all adjustable. If I position one of the shelves 90 degrees to the one the brew kettle will be on, I can actually stand on it to stir the wort or make additions to it. I just thought I would share it with everyone. Let me know what your...
I am getting ready to order a 15 gal speidel fermenter from More Beer and thought I might try a couple of their extract kits. Has any one used their kits and if so, what is your opinion of them? Thanks in advance.
I use vanilla beans in my vanilla Porter. I simply split the beans down the middle and add to the secondary. I have never had a problem doing it this way
I brewed a Belgian tripple on Saturday, used a 1.5 L starter. Fermentation really got going about 10 hrs after pitching starter. I had to use a blow-off tube. Things have started to slow down. How long should I leave in primary? I planned on racking to secondary after 2 weeks and leaving...
2-17-2013: Bottled 5 gal vanilla porter + 5 gal irish red + 5 gal brown ale, brewed 5 gal belgian tripple. So, add a total of 20 gallons. Cheers to all.:mug:
