I ferment on delta fermtanks and trub dump/ yeast harvest with them as well as transfer under pressure. No issue at all with infected beer/ sanitation. I do take the ball valves apart every now and then but honestly I feel I slack in that department and I haven't had any issues in the 18 months...
I'm still brewing with Yakima hops from 2019/2020 and they have been better than any 2021 and 2022 hops I buy at the store. Take care of them and they will last
Delta fermtank. Ferment, pressure transfer, spigot for samples and transferring. Zero complaints. Does everything a similar size conical would do for a lot less money and way easier to move around. Rated for 4 PSI and I can confirm that it will hold at least that without issue. Also I have yeast...
I have an anvil foundry and do a sparge; I never do full vol mash and get avg 70% efficiency without recirculation. Some of these AIO you can do traditional brewing with a mash but you are right in that most are designed for full volume mash
I have done both, in the keg I noticed no off flavors even after a month, and possibly noticed some improved aroma, especially as the keg wore down. I don't like doing it but will if I have less time to get the beer ready for drinking. I once had to pull the dip tube because it was clogged...
Hey guys, question about immersion chiller coils and how to cool wort with them. I have a Delta fermenter and the cooling coil, but no glycol chiller yet. How effective have people found these fermenter coils to be with a pump and ice water in a cooler, changed out once a day or so? I'd like to...
If you are there for the quality of beer- streetside, urban artifact, listermans are the places to go. Better than the ky spots. If you want an environment more than beer madtree or rhinegeist> everyone else. Should probably hit rhinegeist rooftop just for the views alone
Hey guys, been seeing talk recently about people dry hopping with food grade magnets attached to the rim of their fermentor as a way to reduce o2 exposure. My question is wouldn't the hops begin to rot or decompose if they are attached to a lid, exposed to air for a couple days at fermentation...
I feel to get these beers good you gotta dry hop heavy with at least 8oz, and you gotta get the water right. its work but without water and dry hopping then the beer won't take the next step. whirlpool hops only. people will say you need oats but there are plenty in this style without oats. just...
