For PBW the directions on the side say "CIP" 100-160 35m, but do I need that for my homebrew 2.5 gal pot? I don't need to clean this thing in place; it's just a pot.
There's some stuff stuck on the bottom where the burners have burnt some dextrose that I can't scrub out -- should I heat up...

I've brewed 3 batches now and they all have a citric/grapefruit rind taste. All different kits. I thoroughly clean and wash everything. Any ideas what it could be? Water? Chlorine? Anyone else plagued by grapefruit and got rid of it?

First brew and everything went well. After about 6 days of bottle conditioning I lose carbonation within 30s and end up drinking a flat beer. Pours with a good head and bubbles well for that first moment, but flat as water after that. Do I need to give the beer more time...
